Hello to all our students, parents, and families who participated in Betton Hills' 2009 Web Design summer camp.
We are extremely pleased with how the week went, and everyone surpassed what we expected of them insofar as grasping technically the concepts that were introduced. Each of the childrens' sites, while comprised of mostly the same content, are very different in style and layout. This, achieved through writing CSS, makes each page individual and reflective of each child's unique notions of what a page should be. Yes, things are very basic, but it is a very sound start, and we both hope your children continue to learn about websites and the world of design all across the internet.
As for the delay in posting the results, there have been a few hangups on our end with internet service interruption due to the storms this weekend. We apologize for any inconvenience, and we will call each family to notify them the pages are up and running.
We will be offering another summer camp this season (in July) on how to build a computer from scratch via the assembly of all the parts you'll see on the pages we've worked on. If we can match the interest we received for the web design camp, it will be a very fun experience for all, we are certain. Please contact us here for more information, and stay tuned to the Betton Hills site for any and all updates.
Please click here to start looking through all the pages. We encourage everyone to look through every site!
Thank you so much!
