BHPS' lifelong commitment to excellence in education started at 2205 Thomasville Road in the fall of 1988. 20 years later, our original preschool center still thrives here, welcoming all first-time students into a relaxing environment where they are ready to explore, dream, play, and work together as a team. With our loving teachers and an emphasis on creativity, these youngest of learners enter that magical world of learning. Here, your child will gain knowledge and understanding of themselves and the vibrant world around them. Indeed, they start as greedy little caterpillars, but -- through mesmerizing metamorphoses -- they emerge from our safe haven as beautiful butterflies, eager to soar!

The staff of our PreK3 department has a special way of dealing with children. Our philosophy is to nurture and mold students through love, patience, and discipline so that each child will be able to reach his/her full potential of character and being. To motivate and stimulate our students, we provide warm, loving, supportive surroundings. Here, we actively promote the most basic and important of social values, such as individual and environmental respect, love, compassion, honesty, and empathy. An understanding and acceptance of these values enables our students to live with a high sense of self-esteem and to interact sensibly, effectively, and responsibly with others.

In the classroom, however, we put special emphasis on learning time. To that end, we keep group sizes small and employ a challenging, exciting, and unique curriculum of which we are especially proud. It is a logical, disciplined (and even artistic) approach of instructing and working with children on a personal level so that each may achieve his or her potential of going forward with a firm foot in the doorway of developing education. Our preschool implements the lauded Core Knowledge® Preschool Sequence to prepare every student for a lifetime love-affair with learning!
