We are so excited to share this year with you and your child.  We have set up this webpage for you to access anytime you need it!!  You will also receive a newsletter and calendar at the beginning of each month that will be posted here as well.  Enjoy!

 Just a couple of bits of information for you:

• Each Friday is full of fun! We will be having pizza (for the month of August), having share days and participating in the "reading buddy" program! Share days are limited to Fridays only.  Please bring a toy that is appropriate to your child's class and age.  Please do not send any guns or fighting weapons, as this is not something we encourage at Betton Hills. When share time is finished, we will keep the toy in your child's cubby, so you know exactly where it will be when you come to pick your child up.  We participate in a super fun program called " Reading Buddies ". The 4th and 5th graders will come to our class and read to each child individually! Then they get to take about 10-15 minutes to play on the playground with the children.  We have done this program for a while and the children love getting all that attention from the big kids!
• Each Friday you will receive a Friday Folder, please look inside and read all of the information.  There is a lot of information in them as well as artwork created by your child! The folder will need to be signed and brought back the following Monday, as they need to be prepared to go home again each Friday.
• As we learn the letters of the alphabet, your child will receive a brown paper bag with a letter of the alphabet on it. We usually send these home in the Friday Folders.  Please have your child fill it with items that begin with the corresponding letter.  Your child will have an opportunity to share the items that are in the bag that week. 
• We all will share the snack responsibility by assigning each child a "snack week."  During this week, your child will be in charge of supplying snack for the entire class as well as passing it out to their friends during snack time in the morning. Check your calendar for your assigned week and we will remind you by "passing the buck" each Friday in your child's Friday Folder. 
• Lunch begins at 12:00. Please send an icepack with your child’s lunch as we are not able to keep them cool. Please do not send lunch that needs to be heated up. We are not able to warm up lunches for every child.  Thank you for your cooperation.
