Kindergarten
Betton Hills Preparatory School opened its first Kindergarten class in 1990 and successfully graduated all 21 classes to date.
The Core Knowledge Curriculum, coupled with the Florida Sunshine State Standards, provides a strong academic foundation for our students; and, utilizing the Stanford 10 series of standardized tests, we are able to accurately and successfully measure their academic progress. In fact, our Kindergarten classes regularly place in the 70 to 99 percentile based on the national average!
In summer, we provide a Kindergarten Readiness program which serves to ensure that students may be prepared in the prerequisite skills necessary for Kindergarten's academic challenges.
It is strongly recommended to parents to purchase E.D. Hirsch Jr.'s Core Knowledge primer "What Your Kindergartner Needs To Know" (available from Amazon or Apple's iBooks) when your child is enrolled in our program.
