Dear Kindergarten Parents,
Welcome to Betton Hills Kindergarten program! I am thrilled that you have decided to
become part of the BHPS family. I look forward to getting to know you and your family
throughout the 2011 – 2012 school year.
My name is Angela Young and I am excited to have the honor of being your child’s teacher!
I am a graduate of Flagler College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with
ESOL and Reading endorsements. My husband, Judah and I were both born and raised
right here in Tallahassee, FL. He is a commercial and residential electrician for a local
company here in town. We both love the area and enjoy being able to give back to our
community.
This is my first year teaching here at Betton Hills. I want to assure you that Kindergarten
will be a wonderful experience for your child. My goals in the classroom are to help
each child to succeed academically while feeling safe, valued, and loved. I will strive to
create a true love for school and learning within each child. Betton Hills uses the Core
Knowledge Curriculum which aims to develop the child’s whole self, including mental,
social, emotional, and physical aspects. We will work together throughout the school year
to achieve these goals.
