Art Education

Hi, welcome to a brand new year! My name is Robyn Freedman and I am the art instructor for the 2007-2008 school year. I am excited to bring fresh ideas into the art classroom and to my students of BHPS. My experience began with art classes as a child that carried on through high school and college. I went to Florida State University and graduated in 1997 with my B.S. in Studio arts. I continued to work as an artist until returning to F.S.U. to continue with my master’s degree. In 2006, I graduated with my M. S. in Art Education with an emphasis in Art Therapy.

My training and experience with art mediums includes photography, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, faux finishing, acrylic and watercolor painting, and mixed media. I am looking forward to experimenting with the various mediums with my students. I want to bring a therapeutic parallel to the art education, allowing my students open artistic expression. My students will learn new ideas and have plenty of fun during the creative process! Feel free to contact me with questions, comments, or concerns at rfreedman@bettonhills.com

Sincerely,

Robyn Freedman, M.S.
